  • Double-click the downloaded Xerox Smart Start installer file to launch.
  • If prompted "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?"  Select yes to continue through the installation wizard
  • Click "Agree" to the terms and conditions to install
  • During the installation the installer will attempt to discover printers, while it is searching select "Don't See Your Printer?"

Don't see your printer? box at bottom of installer

  • In the ‘Enter IP or Host Name’ field enter the printer-name.printer.wfu.edu (example: The printer reyn-303-xrx would be entered as reyn-303-xrx.printer.wfu.edu). If you are uncertain of the printer name, the name will be located on the printer itself near the display.   You can also add the printer by IP address instead of printer-name.printer.wfu.edu.  If you need the IP address of the printer, please contact your department's ITG or the Service Desk.

Type in printer name + printer.wfu.edu and then press Advanced Search button

  • Select Install and then Done when complete.  (optional install another device if you have more printers to install)
